Ladies’ singles
Ajla Tomljanovic and wildcard Daria Saville are among six Australian hopes in the ladies’ singles competition.
The 29-year-old Tomljanovic enjoyed a career-best run at Wimbledon last year, advancing to her first Grand Slam singles quarterfinal.
Four Australian players (Maddison Inglis, Astra Sharma, Jaimee Fourlis and Zoe Hives) earned their place in the draw through qualifying. This is the most to achieve this feat since 1983.
