Where do you play Hot Shots and what stage do you currently play?
I play hot shot in Numurkah and this is my second year playing. We do this on Friday nights with all the kids and their mums and dads.

What do you like about playing tennis?
It fills my heart with love and makes me want to play tennis for the rest of my life. It keeps me fit and healthy and I get to learn with my friends.

What is your favourite shot and why?
I like to do net shots because I get to smash the ball over the nets and the smaller blue nets make it easier. And sometime it can help me win the point.

Who do you like playing tennis with?
I like playing with my tennis coach, my friends and all the other kids that I don’t really know.

Do you have a favourite tennis player?
I like Serena Williams because she is the greatest player in the world. I think it’s great she won sportswoman of the year.

Do you have any tennis goals?
I want to get good enough to play on Saturdays; I want to be good enough to beat Lochie (big brother. I want to get better at my serving so I can ace people.

What is your favourite tennis memory? Have you attended any tournaments?
Having fun at Hot Shots, having BBQ tea with the family and getting free icy poles. I haven’t played in a tournaments but I did watch my brother once.

How does it feel to be nominated for the Tennis Hot Shot of the Year award?
I feel excited and special that I have been chosen from all the kids in Australia. I get to go to Melbourne to see all the good players at the Australia Open and it will be extra fun. I also like that I might win and get more lessons with Millsy to get better.

What are you looking forward to when you visit the Australian Open?
That I get to watch all the great players and I might get to see Serena Williams play too. I am excited because I have never been to the Australia Open.
