Grand Slam champion Todd Woodbridge and Australian Fed Cup captain and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots ambassador Alicia Molik recently visited more than 35 schools as part of the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow.

Travelling more than 10,000 kilometres and meeting over 15,000 kids, they helped to deliver a record 80,000 racquets to primary school students.

The brand new racquets were delivered to students whose schools are part of the Tennis Australia School Partnership Program, which aims to give children the opportunity to pick up a racquet and play ANZ Tennis Hot Shots as part of their health and physical education curriculum.

“In just two years ANZ has helped us introduce tennis to kids in schools by delivering 80,000 racquets across the country which is an amazing achievement,” former world No.1 and 22-time Grand Slam champion Woodbridge said.

“The racquet initiative is a fantastic way to introduce and encourage more kids to play tennis and have fun, as well as help to identify the future champions of our sport.”
