ANZ Tennis Hot Shot of the Year nominee: Cooper
Eight lucky ANZ Tennis Hot Shots players will be nominated for the highly sought-after the ANZ Tennis Hot Shot of the Year 2017 award. All nominees win an equipment pack and VIP experience at Australian Open 2018, where one finalist will be crowned the winner, receiving $5000, a year of free coaching and a lesson at their club with program ambassador Alicia Molik. Where do you play ANZ Tennis Hot Shots and what stage do you currently play?
Red Ball at the Innisfail Tennis Club.
What do you like about playing tennis?
It is so much fun!
What is your favourite shot and why?
Forehand because I can hit the ball really hard and sometimes I can spin it.
Who do you like playing tennis with?
My friend Alister and my coach Wayno.
Do you have a favourite tennis player?
Do you have any tennis goals?
I want to move up to the big squad, and win lots of trophies.
What is your favourite tennis memory? Have you attended any tournaments?
I just played my first red ball tournament and I made it all the way to the semifinals. I was so happy!
How does it feel to be nominated for the ANZ Tennis Hot Shot of the Year award?
It feels awesome! I can’t believe how lucky I am!
What are you looking forward to when you visit the Australian Open?
I can’t wait to see the players, and I really hope I get to meet Rafa.
