Where does your child fit?

Hot Shots Tennis is a fun way for children between the ages of 3-10+ to Play and Learn tennis. Each Stage provides the right equipment and court size to play tennis at their ability and interest.

Age 3 - 5+

  • Exploring the building blocks of movement

  • Introducing and developing tennis specific skills, basic strategies and the rally

Key program information

Cost

It varies from coach to coach. On average, a coach-run Hot Shots Tennis lesson can cost between $15-$30. Some coaches also offer a free trial

Times vary based on coach or club and stage, typically you can expect sessions to run for 30-60 minutes

  • Racquet – If you don’t have one, no worries, ask if one can be provided
  • Wear runners and comfortable sports clothes
  • Wear a hat and sunscreen
  • Bring a water bottle

Qualified Coaches & Volunteers

Qualified Tennis Australia coaches will help guide your child’s learning every step of the way. They will ensure they are playing with other kids of the same level.

In a few remote and regional areas where we do not have a coach, our great club volunteers run Hot Shots Tennis. At these clubs, Hot Shots Tennis is less about coaching and more about facilitating play. Look out for “volunteer” when you search for Hot Shots Tennis at your local club.
